Interplay of masculine-feminine styles
A thin common thread made of creativity and an endless combination of styles and volumes runs through the new 2018 Spring-Summer pre-collection. For the warm season, the Ermanno Scervino woman adds a sporty touch to her military style by wearing knee-length shorts or soft joggers under suit jackets featuring tails and brightly coloured decoration. Military-inspired down jackets with deep, dynamic side slits are worn over lightweight white lace or linen dresses.
"There is a constant interplay of masculine and feminine styles, meticulous tailoring and a relaxed urban attitude. Linen suits and outerwear with mannish patterns, such as Prince of Wales, are softened and brightened up with painterly splashes of colour, while diaphanous lace skirts are paired with oversized knitwear featuring geometric embroidery or exotic palm patterns. Macro-check bustier dresses, with a tight waffle weave at the waistline, are worn under modern parachute-cloth jackets with knitted details or short jackets with a colonial flair. Striped patterns add a contemporary twist to vintage-inspired cocktail dresses", the company says.
Unique sandals with decorative caps and flat animal-print slippers define the silhouette. The looks are completed by technical stretch belts with a cross-stitch embroidered logo, the iconic Faubourg and bucket bag in a multicolored raffia version to suit the summer vibe.
