Biological wines

"Let's go to drink a glass of Ciù Ciù", said the residents of Offida, in the first Seventies. Ciù Ciù was the name of a small producer of wine in the Marche. Now Ciù Ciù is a company that has established itself on the Italian and international market. Founded by Pasquale and Anna, in Rosso Piceno Superiore, now brothers Walter and Massimiliano Bartolomei guide the company.
"Our wines are made from indigenous grapes of Marches Passerina and Pecorino, says Walter Bartolomei at Show cooking and tasting with the sommelier Luca Gardini and Chef Ambra Romani. It is an event organized by Map Communication Agency in a picturesque courtyard in Milan.
What are the most popular names?
"Sangiovese, Merlot, Barbera, Moltepulciano, Pinot and Chardonnay. We also produce two new varieties: white Verdicchio   and red wine Morro D'Alba Dop".
How is the tournover?
We ended the year with 5 million Euros of turnover.
Do you export abroad?
We have business in Korea, Japan, China and Indonesia. In Europe we continue promoting our products. Sales in Italy remain a point of reference. On the local market we seek to raise awareness more and more in organic production from which our labels derive.
When did you start to work in vineyards?
Since a young age I have been helping my family and working the land. I graduated from the Technical Institute of Agriculture in Ascoli Piceno, then I started immediately the production.
What is the secret of your wine?
Our wines must be an expression of the original territory. The cultivation of our vineyards is biolgic, we do not use
chemicals. Natural wine never hurts, rather it helps body and spirit.
