With a Cinelli comforter or quilt, managing the room becomes much simpler. The time it takes to change the bed is reduced and making beds is more practical. As well as being the most comfortable solution, a feather product is also the most hygienic.
How a down is born. The natural raw material of padded items is made up of feather and down, that is the noblest and lightest part of the animal plumage. The fallen by geese feather and down (and not plucked), once collected, are transported from East Europe, after having already undergone a first and decisive selection.
As soon as they arrive at the factory of Buggiano, feather and down undergo a first sterilization at 133°C. First of all raw material is brought to the laboratory to test its quality, that must be in compliance with the standards established for all Cinelli production and to study in depth the peculiarities of that batch and calibrate on it all machines involved in the manufacturing process. "Central phase of the working process is the separation of feather from down: both of them are put inside huge machines composed by more consecutive collection chambers. Thanks to a mechanism of air circulation, feather and down are lifted and transported from one chamber to another according to their specific weight", company says. "The down is washed at temperatures of 40° - 50°C in some special washing machines that carry out 7 different processes of washing and rinsing. After second dusting the noblest flock is ready. It is sucked in through proper aerial canals and put in special storage bags: once closed in these bags it will be no longer in contact either with open air or with human beings. In fact it will pass directly from the bag into the cover of the quilt or duvet". A masterpiece of both hygiene and quality.
