Contemporary art in Mantova

From 12 th to 17 th October 2020, Mantova will open its doors to Higher Education School in Urban Art, “LUNETTA. Anno ZERO”: a project organized by the cultural association Caravan SetUp, thanks to the partnership with Comune di Mantova and Comune di Ravenna on the occasion of Virgilio e Dante 4.0, Nuove storie Antichi Maestri.
“LUNETTA. Anno ZERO” represents an exclusive offer inside the Italian landscape of artistic education and is born with the aim of providing strong foundations to understand the primary themes related to Urban Art, which is still a niche reality. The course analyzes theoretical, historical and preservative aspects linked to Urban Art, along with more technical questions, such as archiving, communication, event planning and safety. Furthermore some field trips will take place: they aim to let the students immerse themselves inside the Urban Art context and to let them look at it from the inside", company says.
Participation in Higher Education School is reserved to 15 candidates (in accordance with safety rules provided for the current health emergency) and is free. Classes, which are going to be held by highly qualified teachers, will take place in Mantova’s Creative Lab, located in Lunetta neighborhood. This is an area in the suburbs which has been centre of a regeneration process through Urban Art since 2016, thanks to “Without Frontiers | Lunetta a Colori” Festival.
